Continental United Publishing (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides ghostwriting, editing, design, formatting, publishing and book marketing services to authors and businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect through continentalunitedpublishing.com and in the course of providing our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us
- Enquiry details. When you complete a form on our site or contact us by email or phone, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in, and whatever you choose to tell us about your project.
- Project materials. If you engage us, you may share manuscripts, outlines, notes, research, recordings, images and other material needed to complete the work.
- Billing information. Invoicing details such as your name and billing address. Card payments are handled by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Correspondence. Records of the emails, calls and messages exchanged with you.
Information collected automatically
- Server and usage data. Our host records IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed and timestamps.
- Analytics. We use analytics tools to understand which pages are read and how visitors move through the site. This is aggregate information about site usage, not an attempt to identify you personally.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal information, and we ask that you do not send them to us unless they are genuinely part of the book you have asked us to work on.

- To send occasional updates about our services, where you have asked to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Confidentiality of your manuscript
We treat unpublished work as confidential. Manuscripts, outlines, notes and any other material you share for a project are used only to deliver the services you have engaged us for. We do not sell them, publish extracts, or use them as portfolio samples without your written permission. Access is limited to the writers, editors, designers and marketers assigned to your project, each of whom is bound by confidentiality obligations. If you require a separate non-disclosure agreement, we are happy to sign one.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:
- Our team and contractors. Writers, editors, designers, proofreaders and marketing specialists working on your project, under confidentiality obligations.
- Service providers. Website hosting, email delivery, analytics, cloud file storage, accounting and payment processing, each acting on our instructions.
- Publishing and distribution platforms. Where you have asked us to publish or distribute on your behalf, we submit the material and account details required by the relevant retailer or distributor. Those platforms handle that information under their own privacy policies.
- Legal reasons. Where disclosure is required by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, safety or property.
- Business transfer. If our business is sold or reorganised, information may transfer to the acquiring party, subject to this policy.

Project files and correspondence are kept for the duration of the engagement and for a period afterwards so that we can support you, honour any warranty on the work, and meet our record-keeping obligations. Financial records are kept for the period required by tax law. You may ask us to delete project material sooner and we will do so unless we are required to retain it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections to our website, access controls on project files, and confidentiality obligations for everyone working on a project. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
